The General Affairs Service is involved in the drafting of regulations falling within the competence of the Administration, provides legal assistance in the procedures of issuing administrative acts, and participates in implementing international agreements and legislation applicable to the Administration’s remit.

It further participates actively in international organisations (the International Nuclear Law Association - INLA and the Nuclear Energy Agency within the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development - OECD NEA), is responsible for the disposal of tangible property, provides assistance in public procurement procedures, prepares public information, is involved, under the applicable legislation and international conventions, in the preparation of reports, coordinates the positions of the Administration at the inter-ministerial level in preparing annual legislative work programmes of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and budget baselines, supports the implementation of certain systemic laws in the area of personal data protection, integrity protection and prevention of corruption, and performs the work of the Main Administrative Office.
