Slovenia Weekly: Exceeding set targets

Slovenia’s participation in Expo exceeded its set targets, said Minister of the Economy Zdravko Počivalšek at the presentation of the Expo achievements. Participation in the Expo was the largest presentation of the Slovenian economy in its history, and it is already bearing fruit. Companies have already been reporting new business deals and agreements, but this is only the beginning.

World Earth Day reminds us that we can endeavour every day for sustainable development, a healthy environment and living, and a more environmentally- and climate-friendly planet, because a green future is a prosperous future. That is why innovation and action are needed which accelerate solutions and preserve the planet. World Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22 April, this year under the theme "Invest in our Planet". Many institutions in Slovenia are marking the day by highlighting the importance of the planet, calling for care for it, and organising a wide range of activities and events.

Some 1.7 million voters will choose the new 90-member National Assembly for the ninth time in the country’s history in elections on Sunday.
