The Communication Projects Division provides strategic support for communicating Government policies, as well as expert and technical assistance in the planning, organisation and implementation of key Government communication activities.

The Division plans, manages and coordinates the Government’s priority communication projects and campaigns. It also oversees inter-ministerial communication initiatives arising from Government priorities. In close cooperation with ministries, it supports the planning and implementation of major communication activities, particularly those that convey broader Government objectives. In addition, it assists in coordinating communication efforts during crises that require a Government response.

The Division is responsible for planning and managing digital and online communication projects related to priority Government content. It actively participates in inter-ministerial working groups focused on specific communication initiatives. Its work includes direct communication with citizens to raise awareness and inform the Slovenian public about current issues. It also organises presentations on the Government’s work for various target groups, with a particular focus on young people.

An important part of its responsibilities involves planning, coordinating and managing content on GOV.SI, the central Government website, which serves as a single point of access to comprehensive, accurate and reliable information about state administration.

The Division also operates the online platform predlagam.vladi.si, which enables residents of Slovenia to participate in shaping Government policies by submitting proposals. Registered users can highlight issues they believe are not adequately addressed at the system level and propose solutions for their regulation.

Furthermore, the Division works to raise awareness among Slovenian citizens about EU affairs and to enhance Slovenia’s visibility and reputation within the EU. During Slovenia’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, it coordinates the implementation of communication activities.
