Declaration marking the 20th anniversary of Slovenia's EU membership "At Home in Europe"

At today’s meeting of the Committee on State Organisation and Public Affairs, the Government adopted an opinion on the draft Declaration marking the 20th anniversary of Slovenia's EU membership "At Home in Europe", submitted to the National Assembly by a group of deputies. This Declaration is a constructive contribution to the celebration of the anniversary of Slovenia's membership of the Union and an important encouragement for Slovenia's future engagement in the EU.

The purpose of the Declaration is to reflect on the 20 years of our EU membership, take stock of the achievements, identify the goals that still need to be attained and set a vision for Slovenia's future work in the EU.

The Government supports and welcomes the draft Declaration as it represents a constructive contribution to the celebration of the anniversary of Slovenia's EU membership and an important incentive to reflect on European affairs in the year in which European elections will be held and a new institutional and legislative cycle of the Union will begin.
