At today's session, the Government continued its consideration of the proposed Act on Reconstruction, Development and the Provision of Financial Resources. The proposed Act is expected to be adopted by the Government at a correspondence session tomorrow.

The Government approved the proposed Act Amending the Public Use of the Slovenian Language Act, which extends the protection of Slovenian to the digital environment: to the operating systems of computers, smartphones, cars and other devices that communicate with users via text or speech interfaces.

The Government has agreed on the text of the proposed Act Amending the Building Act, which, in addition to urgently addressing the staffing situation of the building inspection service, also provides for the gradual introduction of the eBuilding (eGraditev) system. Due to the complexity of the system and the large number of users, it is not possible to establish the eBuilding system on the whole territory of Slovenia at once by 1 January 2024. Thus, eBuilding will be fully in place as from 5 January 2026, when it will be introduced in all administrative authorities. Until the eBuilding system is in place, business will be conducted as usual.

The Government also approved the Minimum Tax Act, which aims to ensure a global minimum tax rate of 15% for groups of companies with revenues exceeding €750 million. This measure is the result of intensive negotiations between 138 countries within the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the G20.
