The Government agrees with the proposed amendments to the draft Urgent measures to prevent the spread and mitigate the consequences of the infectious disease COVID-19 in healthcare Act

A broad discussion was carried out with all key stakeholders, and the comments of the general and expert public – especially the Economic and Social Council – were taken into account when preparing the draft Act. The amendments also take into consideration the comments made at the National Council session, concerning the regulation of isolation. Key modifications include:

  • more appropriate regulation of the procedure to acquire financial compensation for damage to health
  • the accelerated procedure dealing with these applications,
  • isolation remains in compliance with the current Communicable Diseases Act, except for the fact that it is financed by the budget of the Republic of Slovenia (and not by the employer), until 31 March 2023,
  • the supplement for direct work with patients or users suffering from COVID-19, is guaranteed to beneficiaries until 31 March 2023,
  • concession-holders will also be able to attend outpatient clinics for persons not formally defined as insured (on the basis of work contracts signed with the health centre),
  • the regulation of payment for all healthcare services following realisation without the old limitations (with the aim of shortening waiting lists and increasing accessibility to healthcare services for patients),
  • vaccination against the flu is financed from the budget of the Republic of Slovenia from 1 September 2022 onwards,
  • the #Ostanizdrav application is financed from the budget of the Republic of Slovenia until 30 June 2023 with the possibility of extension.

Recall of a member of the Supervisory Board of SIDG Slovenski državni gozdovi, d.o.o.

The Government adopted a resolution stipulating that before the end of her term of office, Dragica Vrkič Kozlan’s membership of the Supervisory Board of Slovenski državni gozdovi, d.o.o. (SiDG) is recalled, with effect from today.

On 20 October 2022, the Government recalled the member of the Supervisory Board, Dragica Vrkič Kozlan. In line with the sixth paragraph of the old Article 12 of the Act governing the foundation of Slovenski državni gozdovi d.o.o., her membership of the Supervisory Board does not end on the day of the recall but at the latest three months after the day the Assembly decides on the recall, unless the opposition, as the legitimate proposer, proposes a new member of the Supervisory Board.

Following the amendment to the Act governing the foundation of Slovenski državni gozdovi d.o.o on 20 October 2022, the membership of a member of the Supervisory Board ends on the day of the recall, but at the latest three months after the day the Assembly decides on the recall, unless after the recall of a specific member, at least three members – the founder’s representatives – are left in the Supervisory Board with a valid term of office, the Assembly decides in its recall decision that a member’s term of office ends on the day of the recall. In this case, the Assembly has decided in compliance with the possibility from the preceding paragraph – in line with the other valid appointments to the Supervisory Board – to recall the member of the Supervisory Board with her term of office ending on the day of the recall.
