The great importance of Slovenia’s eligibility for funding to modernise energy systems was highlighted by Prime Minister Robert Golob during his recent meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. "The green transition is one of our government’s key priorities, which is why the agreement on the Fit for 55 legislative package is an important, if not essential, milestone in addressing climate and energy challenges."

Ensuring energy security in Europe was also discussed at the recent European Council meeting, where Prime Minister Golob, together with his Benelux counterparts, especially advocated for closer energy supply coordination between Member States.
