It ensures conditions for the safe implementation of air and maritime transport and navigation on inland waterways, supervision of the performance of services of general economic interest and concession agreements in its field of work. Moreover, the Directorate draws up and implements legislation in its field of work, participates in the institutions, authorities and working bodies of the European Union, cooperates in international organisations, and conducts supervision of the bodies within the Ministry or the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.
