The Disease and Injury Prevention Division carries out tasks relating to the management of non-communicable chronic diseases and injury prevention, the management of communicable diseases, including vaccination and HIV/AIDS control, and the decision-making on the waiving of compulsory vaccination on medical grounds and on the right to compensation arising from compulsory vaccination.

We are also active in the field of occupational health and safety and in the prevention and early detection of diseases through prevention programmes in primary health care and screening programmes for the prevention and early detection of cancer. We carry out tasks related to the management of mental illness and prepare the substantive basis for the drafting of labour regulations.
