ENIC – NARIC centre is the national academic recognition information centre, according to the Act on Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region, responsible for the assessment and recognition of education in the Republic of Slovenia.
ENIC-NARIC are networks of information centers dealing with the recognition of education at the national level. The ENIC network connects the information centers of the member states of the Council of Europe and UNESCO / CEPES, and the NARIC network (National Academic Recognition Information Centers) operates at the initiative of the European Commission and consists of information centers of EU Member States and some other countries.
The ENIC-NARIC center collects and provides information on the Slovenian school system and foreign school systems of individual countries, conducts procedures and issues opinions on education in accordance with the Assessment and Recognition of Education Act, and advises and informs individuals and institutions about Slovenian and foreign education.

Assessment of education at the ENIC-NARIC centre
The ENIC-NARIC centre issues an official opinion regarding specific elements of education in the assessment of the education procedure. This helps in recognizing and classification of foreign and national education certificates.

Recognition of education for continuing education
The recognition of education for continuing education is a procedure in which a decision is made, on the basis of education attained abroad, on an individual's right to apply and to be considered for admission for the purpose of continuing their education at education institutions in the Republic of Slovenia.

Slovenian education system and Slovenian Qualifications Framework
The Slovenian education system consists of basic, secondary and tertiary education. School leaving qualifications are classified by the Slovenian Qualifications Framework (SQF).

Assessment and recognition of education in the integration of immigrants in the education system
The procedures of assessment and recognition of education for immigrants are the same as for all other holders of foreign certificates, and are conducted in accordance with the Assessment and Recognition of Education Act.
