Today, two wounded Ukrainians arrived in Slovenia, accompanied by an attendant. Both will receive full medical assistance and care. In the spirit of solidarity, Slovenia is joining 18 other EU member states in the care for the wounded and sick from the warzone. We are thereby expanding our political, humanitarian, material and military support for Ukraine to include medical aid.

On Thursday, 1 December 2022, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the Regulation Amending and Updating the Regulation on the Method of Ensuring Rights to Persons with Temporary Protection, which entered into force on Saturday, 3 December 2022.

On 3 May, twenty children and the accompanying staff from the Ukrainian Luhansk orphanage arrived by bus organised by the Ukrainian Embassy in Slovenia in the village of Slavina, where they will be accommodated in the local adult education centre.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has declared 20 June as World Refugee Day. As they said in their message, on this day the world celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to leave their home countries to escape conflict or persecution.

The government has set up a call center for information on assistance to refugees from Ukraine
Today, on March 2, 2022, the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for the Support and Integration of Migrants established a government call center with experts from various fields offering information on support and assistance provided to Ukrainian citizens. The call center operates daily Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm.
