Notice of the Government Communication Office regarding the processing of personal data
Information to be provided to participants in an event organised by the Communication Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (UKOM), under Article 14 of the GDPR, where personal data have not been obtained from the data subjects

The purpose of personal data processing: organisation and implementation of individual events (e.g. media centre, press conference, photo opportunity).
The legal basis for personal data processing: point (c) of Article 6(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and paragraph one of Article 6 of the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2) and Article 93 of the ZVOP-2 and Agreement on the Use of UKOM Services – 2025 of 15 September 2025.
The categories of personal data: name, telephone number, e-mail address, title and type of media (press agency, press publications, radio, television, online media, other), function (journalist, photographer, camera operator, technician, etc.) of the event participant.
The categories of the data subjects: participants at an event (e.g. media centre, press conference, photo opportunity) organised and implemented by the Government Communication Office (e.g. journalists, photographers, camera operators, technicians, etc.).
The categories of personal data recipients: NO
Personal data will not be transferred to a third country or to an international organisation.
Additional information under Article 14(2) GDPR
The storage period for personal data: until 24:00 on the first working day after the end of the event for which they were collected.
The data subject has the right to request from the controller access to and the rectification or erasure of personal data or the restriction of processing concerning the data subject, as well as the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana.
Personal data originate from the representative of the participant's employer for a specific event, who registers the individual to participate in the event.
There is no automated decision-making. This includes profiling.
