Slovenia Weekly: Broadening modes of communication

The first podcast launched by the Slovenian Government broadens the conventional methods of informing and communicating with the public, and thereby makes the Government’s operations more transparent. The podcast will provide in-depth governmental content and other current social topics. In addition to more direct contact with the public, this method of communication gives space for a thorough and clearer explanation of governmental decisions, plans, policies or opinions. The guests will be interesting and very diverse – from ministers, state secretaries and other governmental representatives to experts of various professions and skill sets. The broadcasts will be published on Friday mornings. One to two broadcasts per month are currently planned. You can read more about the new digital content in our Slovenia Weekly news, and you are also welcome to watch and listen to one of the established channels of communication, which is becoming increasingly popular abroad.

This week's newsletter also focuses on the Slovenian Foreign Minister's visit to Davos, where she stressed the need for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip and the protection of civilians there. She appealed for humanitarian aid to be delivered to the enclave and called for agreement on a peace plan for a two-state solution. Other news feature the meeting of the Slovenian, Italian and Croatian Ministers of the Interior, who confirmed their successful cooperation in tackling the migration challenge.
