Government and business representatives engage in a continuous dialogue to find solutions

Prime Minister Robert Golob and line ministers today met with representatives of business organisations and associations. The need for a continuous dialogue was already agreed upon at the Economic Summit at the end of last year. This is the only way to draft solutions that would enable businesses to be competitive while preserving the current level of prosperity.

The interlocutors agreed to set up two working groups to address issues related to the preparation of the tax reform and the reduction of administrative burdens by means of professional dialogue. The first working group will initially produce an analysis of the tax burdens with a view to finding measures to change tax legislation. The second group will first review the comments on the Labour and Social Security Registers Act, which are already being monitored by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. Business and government representatives will appoint five members to each group.

The Prime Minister again invited business representatives to participate in the Economic and Social Council (ESC). As Tibor Šimonka, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said after the meeting, the first step toward restoring trust was taken today.
