Prime Minister meeting businesspeople: Measures will be adopted next week to mitigate the high prices of energy products for companies

Prime Minister Robert Golob, Matjaž Han, Economy Minister and Bojan Kumer, Minister of Infrastructure attended a meeting with businesspeople, which was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. The Government representatives presented solutions and measures to mitigate the consequences of the energy crisis for the companies not covered so far by electricity and natural gas price regulation.

The proposed mechanism for limiting natural gas price presented this week by the European Commission will need substantial corrections, stated Bojan Kumer, Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure, after today’s meeting of energy ministers.

At today's session, the Government adopted decrees on financial aid for the shortage of fodder in 2022 and on financial compensation for beekeepers. It also adopted the starting points for the drafting of normative solutions in relation to the minor offence proceedings conducted during the efforts to contain the infectious disease COVID-19.

Non-governmental and other organisations stress that violence cannot be stopped without the elimination of inequalities in society. The support for victims of violence in proceedings and women’s empowerment are also crucial.

A book offers the opportunity to broaden one’s horizons

The 38th Slovenian Book Fair was opened on Tuesday, 22 November at the festival hall of the Exhibition and Convention Centre. The fair will be held until 27 November, and until 4 December online. Under the slogan Reading the World, this year’s fair will be organised as a symbol of the upcoming honorary hosting of Slovenia at the largest book fair in the world in Frankfurt, where Slovenian literature and culture will be at the forefront next year.
