Ministry of Foreign Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

  • Starting from 1 September 2022, Moroccan citizens and long term residents can apply for a Schengen visa (short term visa type C) to visit Slovenia at the Embassy of Hungary in Rabat.

  • Today marks the fifth World Bee Day, declared by the UN General Assembly on Slovenia’s initiative on 20 December 2017. In this European Year of Youth, World Bee Day is dedicated to the future of beekeeping and the role of young people in raising awareness of its importance.

  • Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Cairo announces the removal of all COVID19-related limitations of our consular services. Clients are kindly advised that prior appointment via email is still needed to approach the Consular Department and that scans of the relevant documentation may also be requested in advance before allocating a time slot in particular cases.
