Commission Deciding on Compensation for Victims of Crime

The Commission decides on the granting of compensation that may be claimed by a victim of a premeditated violent act or by the victim's relatives pursuant to the Compensation to Crime Victims Act.

Members of the Commission

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed the Commission Deciding on Compensation for Victims of Crime by way of decisions of 18 January 2018 and 19 December 2019. As of 19 December 2019, the Commission consists of the following experts in law and medicine:

Chair:

  • Dr Ana Božič Penko, Supreme Court Judge, Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia

Deputy Chair:

  • Dr Vesna Bergant Rakočević, Higher Court Judge, Ljubljana Higher Court

Members of the Commission:

  • Hinko Jenull, Supreme State Prosecutor Counsellor, Office of the State Prosecutor General of the Republic of Slovenia
  • Said Al Mawed, Ljubljana University Medical Centre
  • Tatjana Puketa Kocijančić, Health Insurance Institute of the Republic of Slovenia
