2026 marks the final year of implementing the measures under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). Many of the measures which have been introduced in Slovenia with the support of European Recovery and Resilience Facility – NextGenerationEU funds have already been successfully completed. In this ongoing publication series entitled Together Towards the Goal, we are presenting today the results of measures to make Slovenia's forests stronger and more diverse.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has withdrawn its two diplomatic staff members from Tehran, capital of Iran. The ambassador and a diplomat are now safe in Azerbaijan, from where they will be returning to Slovenia.

We would like to inform Slovenian citizens who are currently stranded in the Middle East and the Gulf that airspace is gradually reopening. Consequently, an increasing number of commercial flights are available for those wishing to return home. However, the Ministry remains available to provide consular assistance.

With the arrival of two aircraft from Riyadh this evening, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia has completed the evacuation of Slovenian citizens who were stranded in the crisis area in the Middle East due to the ongoing war.

A new Cooperation Agreement between the Visegrad Patent Institute and the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office on Search Cooperation has been signed.
