Under the EU co-funded call for proposals, co-financing will be allocated to the start-up of innovative companies, the development of minimum viable products (MVPs) and the launch of commercial products. The call for proposals will encourage young innovative companies (so-called start-ups) to realise their development potential and commercialise products, processes and services, which primarily focus on areas consistent with the principles of climate neutrality, the circular economy and the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S5). The call is open to micro and small enterprises from both the East Slovenia and the West Slovenia cohesion regions, which are engaged in economic activity as a legal or natural person and are organised as a company.

The call for proposals Incentives for innovative start-ups in 2024 is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, under the priority Innovative knowledge-based society, and pursues the specific objective Enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including by productive investments (ERDF).

The project is worth EUR 2.16 million, with the European Regional Development Fund contributing almost EUR 1.4 million, specifically EUR 1,382,400.00.

The call for proposals, which will contribute to meeting the objectives set under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, is planned to be published by the Slovene Enterprise Fund in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia today.
