They reaffirmed the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and the high level of cooperation in economic, cultural and scientific matters. In this context, the Slovenian Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction, adding that "we would like to deepen this cooperation in the future."

The Prime Minister and his guest highlighted the importance of good relations and commitment to peace in the world, including in light of Slovenia's non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council. The Chinese delegation expressed its wish to "continue to deepen cooperation, build peace and strengthen strategic synergy and partnership based on respect, trust and mutual benefit."

The head of the Chinese delegation also mentioned "how important it is to upgrade the communication between the two countries, both at the economic and social levels." He spoke of possibilities for cooperation within the framework of Chinese platforms promoting Slovenian products, expressing hope that on its territory Slovenia would continue to create a favourable and encouraging environment for Chinese companies. A good example of successful cooperation between the two countries is Hisense–Gorenje.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two delegations discussed the economic prospects of their countries, with Prime Minister Golob saying that "Slovenia's economic development is above the EU average, but that in the future we would like to see more high-tech industry and more foreign investment in Slovenia." The Chinese delegation highlighted China’s strong economic growth and the importance of its cooperation with Europe. Both sides expressed their commitment to friendly cooperation in various sectors.

China remains a key economic partner and global player for Slovenia and the EU as a whole.
