The company Eles completed the construction of the transmission line as part of the largest investment in the transmission network infrastructure. With the transmission line connected to the newly built substation, Slovenia has connected its transmission network to the last remaining unconnected neighbouring country – Hungary. The newly built international interconnection will ensure the more stable and reliable operation of Slovenia's power system.

The Government Communication Office took care of the media logistics: announcement of the event and notification of the media programme to all media representatives, accreditation for the media, the organisation of photo opportunities, statements and interviews for the media, and the moderation and broadcast of the press conference.
