Prime Minister visits Iskraemeco: Green jobs are interesting for young people and beneficial for the planet

Prime Minister Dr Robert Golob visited Iskraemeco, a global technological company in Kranj, which offers smart solutions in energy and water management.

Their advanced smart energy and water consumption meters for residential and industrial consumers are a powerful tool for automatic collection and processing of measurement data.

Iskraemeco offers solutions that are particularly valuable when experiencing high energy prices. With the data obtained by smart meters, we can contribute as a society to a more efficient use of energy and a reduced carbon footprint, thereby benefiting the environment. "This is one of the companies that is emerging from the COVID-19 crisis stronger, as they succeeded in completing an investment cycle in this period. The company is important for Slovenia and the European Union because it operates in an industry that enables great energy savings and subsequent environmental benefits. Green jobs are interesting for young people and beneficial for the planet," the Prime Minister highlighted.

From this aspect, the Government maintains contact with such companies and, in cooperation with them, strives to design target measures that will support the business sector. The Prime Minister and the company’s management exchanged their views on how the Government could help the company to access foreign markets and lobby with decision-makers in Brussels. They also spoke about the current technological challenges and the energy crisis.
