The Government adopted the proposal for the Energy Supply Crisis Management Act. The proposal defines temporary measures to manage the increased risk in energy supply, ensure reliable supply, reduce import dependency and reduce pressure on prices due to volatility in energy markets.

The Government also adopted the Proposed Amendment to the Gas Supply Act. Among other measures, the proposal provides for alternative gas supply to ensure supplier replacement when customers suddenly lose their supplier because it no longer meets the conditions for membership in the balance scheme. An alternative supply is introduced, where the customer automatically switches from their existing supplier, to an alternative one. In accordance with the proposed amendments to the act, all consumers have the right to the basic gas supply, so all suppliers must provide it for any customers who do not have or cannot acquire a supplier. A supplier sets the price of gas in basic supply according to the characteristics of the customers' consumption and the billing period. This price must not exceed the limit price or, depending on the billing period, the average limit purchase price in the balancing market published by the transmission system operator. A gas supplier must publish the price or the method of its calculation on its website. It can also do so in the media.
