The Ukrainian counterpart thanked Slovenia for all the support it provides to Ukraine. She wants EU Member States to remain united in their support and assistance to Ukraine and to grant candidate status to Ukraine at the forthcoming European Council meeting at the end of June.
The State Secretary strongly condemned the Russian aggression against Ukraine and expressed the strong support of the Slovenian Government for Ukraine and its sovereignty. Both in Ukraine and in the EU, we will need the courage and, above all, the wisdom to end the war as soon as possible, to replace warfare with diplomacy, and to make Ukraine’s European perspective tangible and real. We strongly support Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
