Slovenia voted best holiday destination for 2021

Condé Nast Traveler, a world-renowned luxury travel magazine dedicated to top experiences for the most demanding travellers, has published its list of the best holiday destinations for 2021. This time Slovenia ranked highest, followed by Yorkshire in England and Melides in Portugal. Placing Slovenia at the very top of such a list is further proof of the quality, uniqueness and reliability of its tourism products and services.

"Slovenia is clearly becoming a global green boutique destination for the most demanding visitors looking for diverse, active, green and five-star experiences. Today’s ranking of Slovenia at the top of yet another reference scale is further proof that we are on the right track and that the future is on our side," said Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek.

Condé Nast Traveler has once again taken great care in selecting its top holiday destinations for 2021, with a geographically diverse range of trips. The magazine took into account the views of different groups of travellers – the surfers, the architecture buffs and the foodies. They then drew up a list of 21 of the most interesting tourist destinations which, in their opinion, should not go unnoticed next year.  Slovenia ranks top on the list, followed by Yorkshire, Melides, the United Arab Emirates, El Hierro, Kimberley, Accra, the Amazon rainforest, Helsinki, the Dominican Republic and other attractive destinations.
