Currently, there are 319 confirmed cases of infection in the country and one person has died. Slovenia has been monitoring developments in the world and neighbouring countries and has taken resolute actions to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Social distancing is a key prevention measure to contain the spread of coronavirus, therefore:

indoor gatherings of more than 100 people have been banned;

mass events held outdoors have been cancelled;

most public institutions have been closed (libraries, museums, cinemas, galleries, etc.);

public bus and rail transport has been suspended as of 16 March, as has air transport as of 17 March, and special measures are in force on the borders with all neighbouring countries.

More information on measures, including those remedying the economic consequences, that have already been or will be adopted by Slovenia is available at gov.si/koronavirus
