The Private Security and Municipal Warden Services Division
The Private Security and Municipal Warden Services Division issues licences to private security companies. It also issues ID cards to security guards and authorisations for the cross-border transport of euro cash by road between the euro area member states. The Division keeps registers of licence holders, ID card holders, internal security providers and organisers of private security training. It monitors the performance of private detective services and supervises the granting and revocation of licences to private detectives.
The Division supervises the work and conduct of local authority bodies in relation to the adoption of security programmes, the municipal wardens, the qualifications of authorised officials, and the exercise of powers by municipal wardens. It also issues ID cards to ski slope supervisors (ski patrollers), maintains a register of ski slope supervisors, and monitors the legality of their training.
