Mojca Ramšak Pešec

Mojca Ramšak Pešec, born on 20 July 1969, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana in 1993, obtaining a bachelor's degree in law. In 2001, she passed the State Law Examination. She has worked for more than 30 years in various state administration bodies, mostly in senior management positions. She has extensive experience in public sector organisation and management, public sector pay systems, human resources, labour law and other areas of law. From April 1997 to May 2006, she was Head of the General and Legal Affairs Division at the General Customs Directorate of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. From 2006 until the end of 2015, she was Director-General of the Directorate for Legislative Regulation of the Public Sector, the Public Employee and Salary System at the Ministry of Public Administration. From October 2018 to March 2020, she was State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration. Until her reappointment as State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, she headed the Human Resources and Legal Affairs Division at the Secretariat-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. She was also President of the Employment Appellate Commission of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and for many years she has been a lay judge at the Labour and Social Court in Ljubljana.
