Eva  Vodnik

Eva Vodnik was born in 1987 in Ljubljana. She holds a medical degree and completed her internship at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana. Subsequently, she worked in family medicine, school medicine and emergency medicine clinics at the Community Health Centre Zagorje ob Savi. Since 2015, she has been employed at the Community Health Centre Ljubljana, where, after completing her specialization, she started to work as general practitioner in Unit Šentvid.

She works in a public health institution, where she also participates in providing 24-hour emergency medical services. Since 2022, she has been leading the Department of Healthcare services for Adults in Unit Šentvid of the Community Health Centre Ljubljana.

As a family medicine doctor, she has been operating at the core of the public healthcare system for years, which has given her a deep understanding of its strengths and weaknesses. She actively and vocally advocates for strengthening public healthcare, promoting equitable and efficient use of healthcare resources, and seeking intelligent and effective solutions in the field of healthcare.

Starting from November 1st, 2023, she has been serving as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
