Neva Grašič

Neva Grašič was born on 29 September 1987 in Celje. She is an Undergraduate of European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, where she continued her studies in International Relations.
During the 12th Mandate of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, she served as Adviser for International Cooperation at the Minister's Office of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
In 2018, she joined the Office of the President of the Republic of Slovenia as Senior Adviser on Social Policy and Relations with Civil Society.
In October 2018, she assumed the role of Adviser to the President of the National Assembly, responsible for International Affairs, at the Office of the President of the National Assembly.
Since April 2020, she has served as Adviser responsible for Social Policy, European and International Affairs, Defence and Security Policy and issues related to Slovenians Abroad within the Parliamentary Group of Social Democrats at the National Assembly.
In June 2022, she has joined the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Until her appointment as State Secretary, she served as Deputy Head of the Minister's Office.
She is fluent in English, Croatian and Serbian, and understands German. She was also a co-founder of the European Students' Club at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Vice-President of the Young European Socialists during the 2015–2017 term. She has authored publications on active youth participation at local and national levels and has coordinated women's empowerment projects in the Western Balkans.
The Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed Neva Grašič as State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs on 31 July 2025.
