Science Directorate
The Science Directorate is responsible for tasks related to the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of government policy in the field of science and research.
The Directorate provides the professional, legal, strategic, financial, analytical and operational foundations for the development of a high-quality, open, internationally connected, infrastructure-supported and competitive research environment. It develops, coordinates and monitors measures aimed at fostering a modern research environment based on scientific excellence, research autonomy, responsible management of public funds, research integrity, open science, the development of research careers, and effective cooperation between research organisations, the economy and society.
