Tomislav Nemec, M.Sc.

Tomislav Nemec, born in 1962, holds university degrees in surveying and economics. In 2007, he obtained a master's degree in Service Quality Management from the Faculty of Organisational Sciences of the University of Maribor.

He began his professional career at the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Municipality of Ljutomer. From 1995 to 2007, he served as Head of the Ljutomer Administrative Unit. From 2007 to 2009, he was the President of the Management Board of the Motorway Company of the Republic of Slovenia (DARS). From 2011 to 2015, he served as Director of the Ljutomer Community Health Centre. For the past ten years, he has been Director of the Ljutomer Residential Care Home for the Elderly.

Through his leadership and professional responsibilities, he has gained extensive experience in organisational and project management, change management, organisational culture development, and human resource management. In his professional work, he places particular emphasis on quality management and process efficiency.

He has actively participated in numerous governing bodies, working groups, projects, management boards, commissions and councils. Among other positions, he served as a member of the Council of the Pomurje Social Work Centre, Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Slovenian Association for Quality and Excellence, and Vice-President and member of the Executive Board of the Association of Social Institutions of Slovenia. He has led seminars and workshops on quality management, authored professional articles, and participated in the implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system in several organisations. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Management and Social Gerontology at Alma Mater Europaea University.
