Directorate for Demography

The Directorate for Demography monitors and analyses demographic trends and prepares expert input for the development of demographic policies, particularly in the areas of family policy, fertility, population ageing and intergenerational relations. It ensures interministerial coordination of policies affecting demographic development. The Directorate coordinates the preparation of strategic documents, draft legislation and implementing regulations, and prepares analyses, reports and other documents within its area of responsibility.
