Rok Petje, MSc in Economic and Business Sciences in the field of strategic and project management, has extensive experience in project planning and implementation at local, regional and international levels. Over the years, he has actively contributed to the regional development of Pomurje. Recently, he has focused on the development of the Roma community within the Lead Regional Development Agency in Pomurje, where an office for the development of the Roma community has been established, which is intensively involved in planning the development of the Roma community at the regional level with a particular focus on the development of the Roma community in the Municipality of Murska Sobota.

Previously, Petje worked in Lendava, where he was Acting Director of the Lendava Institute for Tourism and Development and Project Coordinator at the Municipality of Lendava. During this time, he gained deep insight into the situation and challenges faced by the Hungarian ethnic community in the area and implemented a number of projects under Slovenia-Hungary cross-border programmes.

As of 1 January 2024, Petje was appointed Acting Director of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for National Minorities.
