We contribute to the preparation of guidelines, conceptual bases and methodological instructions for the annual financial plans of public health institutions and issue consents on the financial plans of public health institutions.

We prepare methodological and substantive guidance for the preparation of annual reports of public health institutions and comparative analyses of the performance of public health institutions. We contribute to the preparation of material on the cost of employees of public health institutions and issue opinions on the borrowing of public health institutions.

We coordinate and prepare financial projections of compulsory health insurance funds. We prepare proposals for the Minister responsible for Health on the appointment and dismissal of representatives of the founder of the management bodies of public health institutions of which the Republic of Slovenia is the founder, the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices and the Health Insurance Institution of Slovenia.

We are involved in the analysis, controlling and supervision of the financing of healthcare programmes and services in public healthcare institutions.
