This year, the 21st Bled Strategic Forum will be held under the title "The Power to Shape the Future". The Forum will bring together leaders, policymakers, innovators, business representatives, experts and young voices from around the world under this year's central theme to discuss how countries, institutions and societies can successfully navigate times of uncertainty, build effective partnerships and translate their influence into tangible impact. Through open, forward-looking dialogue, the aim is not only to gain a better understanding of the challenges ahead, but also to identify opportunities and co-create solutions for the future.
The Bled Strategic Forum is a Slovenian intergovernmental project and one of the country’s most prominent foreign policy events, providing an important platform for discussions on topical global and regional challenges.
"In the coming years, Slovenia will pursue its own foreign policy, with national interests at the forefront. We certainly hold different views, but on key issues the interests of our country must come first," said Prime Minister Janez Janša at the consultation of Slovenian diplomats where he presented the priorities and vision of Slovenian foreign policy, emphasising that Slovenia seeks to be a responsible member of the European Union, NATO and the international community, while still being both willing and able to pursue and advance its own interests.
