Slovenia Weekly: Guidelines for measures

In light of the situation in the Middle East, the Government has adopted guidelines for drafting legal bases related to energy security and the reliable supply of essential goods and services in the country. These guidelines are intended to provide the Government with more options for taking action in unpredictable situations.

The adopted guidelines provide a framework for amending the legislation, Not only pertaining to the supply of petroleum products, gas and electricity, but also the supply of food and other strategic resources, inventory management, logistics capabilities and, above all, more coordinated action in the event of disruptions.

Bojan Kumer, Minister of the Environment, Climate and Energy, said that Slovenia is now much better prepared for the crisis than it was at the start of the war in Ukraine in 2022, as more systematic attention has been devoted to the issue of energy supply in recent years. Slovenia has already established important mechanisms in various areas, including commodity and security reserve systems and the effective management of critical infrastructure.

It is the Government’s responsibility to ensure that people and businesses have the most stable, predictable and reliable supply possible, even in challenging conditions; additional measures will therefore need to be developed and adapted on an ongoing basis.

    Slovenian Easter games

    2. 4. 2026

The magic of Easter for children is, above all, in the dyeing of Easter eggs. However, in addition to dyeing, painting and pasting, it is also an opportunity to play games. Hunting for the Easter Bunny is not a Slovenian custom, so it is a good idea to make children familiar with Slovenian Easter games.
