Slovenia Weekly: Awareness of responsibility

The key message of this year's Bled Strategic Forum is a call for leaders to recognise their responsibility, integrity and the fundamental values on which Slovenia also bases its policy. "To sum it up, it appears to me that this was definitely the most challenging forum so far, the most challenging in terms of substantive discussions at a time of major crises and wars around us, at a time when the world is deeply divided, when we see that power dominates above all, less so than rules, when there is no political will to respect the international law, to end wars," said the Slovenian Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, at the conclusion of the forum.

The forum focused on issues such as Europe's position in the world, how to make it stronger, more united and connected, and above all, how to put central values such as humanity, respect for human rights, democracy, the rule of law and integrity at the forefront. At the same time, the Bled Strategic Forum confirmed that Slovenia with its foreign policy is a country that enjoys worldwide credibility, reputation and respect.

The forum was attended by more than 2,300 participants from 94 countries, 180 panellists from 48 countries, and a record number of accredited journalists.
