Slovenia Weekly: A reliable and credible partner

"The role of small countries is to pave the way where large countries do not dare or do not wish to," the Prime Minister said in his address to Slovenian diplomats at the annual consultation of Slovenian diplomacy, emphasising the importance of Slovenia's voice in the international community. "In recent years, Slovenia has proven itself in this area multiple times: in the Security Council, where we are a voice of principle; in the European Union, where we are bridge-builders; and in the Western Balkans, where we are a credible partner. Our main strength lies in our commitment to principles, our credibility and in fostering connections," the Slovenian Foreign Minister stressed in her opening address to diplomats.

Reliability and credibility are also key characteristics of the Bled Strategic Forum. With the Bled Strategic Forum, Slovenia’s flagship foreign policy event, which is being held for the twentieth consecutive year, Slovenia is exceeding expectations in terms of its international recognition and its establishment as a young, small state in the international community.
