Slovenia Weekly: Solidarity is the key word

pxb

St Martin's Day is probably the most anticipated autumn celebration, at least in eastern Slovenia. But this year (again) there will be no joy and gatherings with friends, as the epidemic in Slovenia is still not subsiding. We are recording dismal records and struggling to keep schools and the rest of public life open. We are by no means alone in this, but several countries are facing a similar situation.

We're hidding in bubbles from the virus, failing to see that there is only one way to save humanity from a pandemic, just like there is only one way to save the planet from climate change. Solidarity is the key word. When it becomes the driving force of globalisation, the future of the humankind will be more certain.
