Slovenia Weekly: A turning point

pxb

The economic outlook has improved and we expect GDP growth of 6.1% this year, was announced yesterday by Institute of macroeconomic analysis and development. This is slightly higher than in Spring Forecast, but uncertainty remains, specially if epidemiological situation significant deterioratets.

That is why the Government of the Republic of Slovenia is working hard to avoid another lockdown. The almost universal introduction of the R(ecovered) - V(accinated) - T(ested) rule is intended to do just that: to provide a safe public space and allow the economy to operate normally.

Experts predict a peak of the 4th wave in early October. And although vaccination in Slovenia has almost come to a standstill in recent weeks, vaccination sites across Slovenia are being visited in large numbers these days. Perhaps this will be a turning point, which is going to help us to enjoy the colourful autumn that is coming to our region with today's rain.
