Our common goal for this summer: stay healthy

The leaders of the EU Member States are meeting in Brussels today and tomorrow – their first physical meeting since the coronavirus lockdown began – to seek a compromise on a comprehensive recovery package for Europe in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Slovenian Prime Minister is also attending the meeting, emphasizing that the EU has a good opportunity to prove its capability to provide solutions and respond on time.

Slovenia is in good control of the current increase in the number of infections within the country. We achieved this by intensified supervision over the implementation of quarantines, as well as close cooperation with the neighbouring Croatia, which was also confirmed by both Prime Ministers at a meeting last Friday.
Yesterday, the Government adopted some changes to the list of epidemiologically safe or risky countries and all existing measures remain in force. However, self-protective behaviour (hand and cough hygiene, wearing masks, maintaining physical distance) is still crucial.

Even when we are apart, the same goal brings us together: to stay healthy.
