Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

Current information on border crossings, measures at the border upon entry into Slovenia and the lists of countries can be found on the special page Border Crossing.

The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Skopje represents the Republic of Slovenia in North Macedonia, protects and realizes the interests of the Republic of Slovenia, its citizens and legal entities, and promotes and develops friendly relations and cooperation between the countries in all fields.

Relations between Slovenia and North Macedonia have traditionally been friendly and the countries have been good partners. Between the two countries there is an intensive cooperation and constant dialogue both at political, economic as on cultural and scientific level. Slovenia has always supported North Macedonia politically, professionally and technically on her accession to the EU. Slovenia also strongly supported North Macedonia in its efforts to join NATO, which it ultimately did in 2020. A small Slovenian community also lives in North Macedonia.
