Entry in the European Parliament electoral register

A national of another Member State of the European Union is entitled to vote and stand as a candidate in elections to the European Parliament provided that he or she is entered in the electoral register. He or she must also be 18 years of age on the polling day, hold a permanent residence permit and have registered permanent residence in Slovenia or hold a residence registration certificate and have registered temporary residence in Slovenia.

A citizen of the European Union is entered in the voting rights register for the elections to the European Parliament in Slovenia. This is done on the basis of a request filed with the Ministry of the Interior, which is required to inform all citizens of the European Union of the conditions and detailed arrangements for exercising the right to vote and the right to stand for election in Slovenia no later than ten days after the European Parliament elections are called.
