Buzzing Futures
At the heart of Buzzing Futures are three simple decks of cards—WHO, WHAT, and WHEN—which together generate surprising and thought-provoking prompts. Players are encouraged to imagine future scenarios, connect ideas across sectors, and adopt different perspectives: from farmers and researchers to policymakers and CEOs. Each round takes about 20 minutes and culminates in group reflection, but the full game typically lasts around 45 minutes. It can be easily adapted for shorter or longer sessions depending on the context and number of participants.
Designed for use in diverse environments—schools, public institutions, community events, corporate boardrooms—the game encourages dialogue and cooperation across disciplines and age groups. It’s more than a learning tool; it’s a space to think creatively, listen deeply, and co-create actionable ideas that support the Sustainable Development Goals. It reflects Slovenia’s strong international commitment to protecting pollinators and promoting sustainability through its leadership on World Bee Day.
Buzzing Futures is freely available for download, and additional facilitation materials will be published soon. These will support educators, workshop leaders, and public servants in tailoring the game to their specific audiences and objectives. Whether you're sparking climate conversations in a classroom, testing policy ideas in a ministry, or driving innovation in a sustainability-focused business, this game offers a fresh, engaging way to explore what it means to build a resilient tomorrow—together.
