The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs organised a five-day Global Course for Young Diplomats, where participants learned more about substantive topics and real diplomatic experience in Slovenia and globally.

The ninth Latin America and Caribbean Days (LAC Days) continued with a visit to the Port of Koper, where a high-level delegation from Latin American and Caribbean countries toured the port and met with the management and President of the Management Board Nevenka Kržan.

As part of the Latin American and Caribbean Days (LAC Days) 2025, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs continues to hold a series of cultural events organised in cooperation with the embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries and Slovenian cultural institutions.

State Secretary Samuel Žbogar attended the 52nd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Lima, Peru, from 5 to 7 October 2022. Foreign Ministers from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, as well as permanent observers, held discussions under the title "Together against inequality and discrimination" to reduce social and other inequalities that have been exacerbated in the countries of the Western Hemisphere by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the 30th anniversary of Peru’s recognition of the Republic of Slovenia, which took place on 17 March 1992, State Secretary Stanislav Raščan held an audio-video discussion with Ambassador Luis Enrique Chávez Basagoitia, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Peru.
