Many cultural institutions across Slovenia commemorate the anniversary of the birth of the poet France Prešeren, who was born on 3 December 1800, by opening their doors wide and welcoming visitors to free cultural and artistic events.

Slovenia is set to compete in the European Championship 2024, marking their return after 24 years. The Slovenian national football team secured their place by defeating Kazakhstan 2:1 in the final round of qualifying, sparking a wave of football euphoria across the nation.

The 61st AGRA International Fair of Agriculture and Food will open on Saturday 26 August at the Pomurski sejem trade fair centre in Gornja Radgona and will close on 31 August. Over the six days, 1,700 exhibitors from 35 countries are participating. The fair will be opened in the presence of a number of high-ranking Slovenian and foreign political and economic representatives by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, who will also formally address the guests.
