IMO Survey on the implementation and use of Maritime Single Window systems

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is conducting a survey on the implementation and use of Maritime Single Window (MSW) systems, which are intended to simplify and digitalize the exchange of information between ships, ports, and competent authorities.

The IMO is conducting a survey to obtain an overview of the level of implementation and actual use of maritime single windows, and to identify good practices, challenges, and opportunities for further development.

It is intended for maritime administrations, port authorities, customs and other government agencies, information system operators, shipping companies, ship agents, freight forwarders, port terminal operators, and other stakeholders involved in the electronic exchange of data in maritime transport.

The findings collected will serve as a basis for further IMO activities in the field of the digitalization of maritime formalities and the development of maritime single window systems at the global level. The results will be presented to the IMO Facilitation Committee (external link).

The survey is available in English at the following link: Questionnaire Initial Survey – Maritime Single Window Evaluation.
