EU funding for new cycling route connecting Ljubgojna and Vrzdenec

The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project National cycling connection R10 Ljubgojna-Vrzdenec. The project will receive over €1 million from the Cohesion Fund.

A new 1,107-metre long cycling route connecting Ljubgojna and Vrzdenec will be built in the Municipality of Horjul. The two-way 2.5-metre wide route will complete the missing section of the cycling connection between the two settlements. The project will enhance road safety and improve cycling conditions for residents travelling to school, work and everyday destinations, while also facilitating access to public transport services.

The €2,058,090.62 project will be implemented under Slovenia's EU Cohesion Policy Programme. It will receive €1,073,275.71 from the Cohesion Fund. The beneficiary of the funding is the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency.
