Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy

  • The Slovenian Infrastructure Agency, together with the Municipalities of Kranjska Gora and Bovec, is introducing new traffic arrangements at the Vršič Pass to make visits to the area safer and more orderly, improve traffic flow and better protect the sensitive natural environment, particularly during the tourist season.

  • The JP SUB-EV26 public call for electric vehicle purchase incentives will close soon, as the available funding is close to being fully committed. As the scheme is funded by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, which assumed responsibility for the programme following the reorganisation of the Slovenian state administration (previously under the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy), we would like to provide additional information on its financing.

  • Electricity sharing is a new mechanism introduced under both European and Slovenian legislation and represents an important step towards a more modern and efficient energy system. It enables owners of renewable electricity generation facilities to share surplus electricity with other users. In Slovenia, electricity sharing will become available from 1 July 2026 onwards.
